Lalo Ríos

Lalo Ríos (born January 1, 1927, in Durango, Mexico; died March 16, 1973, in Los Angeles, California) was a Mexican actor best known for his role as Tomás in the 1956 film The Brave One. He was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for "New Star of the Year - Actor" for his performance.

Ríos’s acting career spanned both film and television, primarily during the 1950s and 1960s. He often played Native American or Mexican characters, reflecting the prevalent typecasting of Latino actors during that era. His television credits include appearances in popular Westerns such as Gunsmoke, The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp, and The Virginian. He also had roles in anthology series like Playhouse 90 and The Loretta Young Show.

Tragically, Lalo Ríos died in a car accident in 1973 at the age of 46. While his career was relatively short, his performance in The Brave One remains a significant and memorable contribution to classic Hollywood cinema.
