Kfar Aza

Kfar Aza is an Israeli kibbutz located in the northwestern Negev desert, near the border with the Gaza Strip. It falls under the jurisdiction of the Sha'ar HaNegev Regional Council.

History: Kfar Aza was founded in August 1951 by a group of young people who were Holocaust survivors and immigrants from Romania. It was initially established as a Nahal settlement (a military settlement combining agricultural work with military training) and was later civilianized. The name "Kfar Aza" translates to "Aza Village."

Economy: The kibbutz's economy is based primarily on agriculture, including field crops, orchards, and dairy farming. It also has industrial enterprises and income from tourism.
