Kevin Kelly (boxer)

Kevin Kelly (born June 29, 1967) is an American former professional boxer. He competed primarily in the featherweight division.

Kelly turned professional in 1988 and quickly rose through the ranks. He was known for his aggressive style and knockout power.

In 1993, Kelly faced Troy Dorsey for the vacant WBA featherweight title. Kelly won the fight by unanimous decision, claiming his first and only major world title. He defended the title once before losing it to Naseem Hamed in 1995.

Following the loss to Hamed, Kelly continued to box, although he never regained a major world title. He retired from professional boxing in 2001.
