KRWG-TV

KRWG-TV is a PBS member television station serving the Las Cruces, New Mexico area. It is licensed to New Mexico State University (NMSU) and operates as a service of NMSU's broadcasting department. Its studios are located on the NMSU campus, and its transmitter is located on Tortugas Mountain, east of Las Cruces.

KRWG-TV provides educational, cultural, and informational programming to the southern New Mexico and far west Texas region. Its programming includes PBS mainstays such as PBS NewsHour, Masterpiece, NOVA, and Sesame Street, as well as local productions focused on issues and events relevant to the community.

Besides its primary broadcast channel, KRWG-TV also operates digital subchannels that offer additional programming. These subchannels often include Create, a how-to channel; World, featuring news and documentary programming; and PBS Kids.

The station relies on a combination of funding sources including grants, donations from viewers, and support from New Mexico State University. It plays an important role in providing access to public television for a geographically dispersed population in a region with diverse needs.
