106th Division (People's Republic of China)
The 106th Division (Chinese: 第106师) was a military formation of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) of the People's Republic of China. It was part of the 36th Army.
The division was activated in February 1949, from the 8th Independent Brigade of Huabei Military Region. Under the command of the 36th Army, it took part in the Pingjin Campaign.
The division was composed of the 316th Regiment, 317th Regiment, and 318th Regiment.
In 1952, the 106th Division was disbanded. Its divisional HQ was converted to Artillery Command HQ of the PLA. The 316th Regiment was attached to the 66th Division. The 317th and 318th Regiments were attached to the 196th Division.
