Bill Savage (baseball)

William Edward "Bill" Savage (born November 27, 1952) is a former professional baseball player. He played as an outfielder in Major League Baseball (MLB) for parts of two seasons, 1977 and 1978.

Savage was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 4th round of the 1970 MLB June Amateur Draft. He played in their minor league system until he was traded to the Kansas City Royals in 1976.

He made his MLB debut with the Royals on April 16, 1977, appearing in 16 games that season. In 1978, he was traded to the Oakland Athletics, where he played in 29 games. His final MLB appearance was on September 30, 1978.

During his major league career, he had a batting average of .208 with no home runs and 4 RBIs in 45 games played. He primarily played right field.
