Joseph Wu
Joseph Wu (born in Taiwan) is a Taiwanese politician and diplomat. He currently serves as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
Wu earned a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He has held various positions in the Taiwanese government, including Deputy Secretary-General to the President, Chairman of the Mainland Affairs Council (MAC), and Representative to the United States.
As Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wu is responsible for managing Taiwan's foreign relations, promoting its international visibility, and strengthening ties with other countries. His tenure has been marked by efforts to navigate complex geopolitical challenges, particularly in relation to China. He is a strong advocate for Taiwan's democracy and its right to participate in international organizations.
