Jorge Mas
Jorge Mas (born October 28, 1962) is a Cuban-American businessman. He is the chairman and co-founder of MasTec, a publicly traded infrastructure engineering and construction company based in Coral Gables, Florida. MasTec focuses primarily on communications, energy, and utility infrastructure projects.
Beyond MasTec, Mas is heavily involved in the sport of soccer. He is the managing owner of Inter Miami CF, a Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise that began play in 2020. He was instrumental in bringing Lionel Messi to Inter Miami in 2023, a move widely considered to be a major coup for both the club and MLS. Mas also holds a significant ownership stake in Real Zaragoza, a Spanish professional football club.
Mas is also known for his political activism, particularly in relation to Cuba. He advocates for democracy and human rights in Cuba and has been actively involved in efforts to promote political change on the island. His father, Jorge Mas Canosa, was a prominent anti-Castro activist, and Jorge Mas has continued his father's legacy of opposing the Cuban regime. He is a prominent Republican donor.
