John O'Shea (humanitarian)

John O'Shea is an Irish humanitarian, businessman, and the founder and CEO of GOAL, an international humanitarian response agency.

Biography:

O'Shea, born in Dublin, Ireland, founded GOAL in 1977. Driven by the plight of refugees fleeing the Vietnam War, GOAL initially focused on providing aid to Vietnamese refugees in Thailand.

GOAL:

Under O'Shea's leadership, GOAL has grown into a significant international humanitarian organization. It works in partnership with communities in the developing world to deliver a range of humanitarian and development programs, focusing on areas such as health, nutrition, water, sanitation, livelihoods, and emergency response. GOAL operates in numerous countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
