KTFQ-TV

KTFQ-TV is a defunct television station that formerly broadcast on channel 25 in Ottumwa, Iowa, United States. The station was licensed to KBIZ, Inc., which also owned KBIZ radio (1240 AM). KTFQ-TV operated as a CBS affiliate from its sign-on in 1967 until its cessation of broadcasting in 1970. The station suffered from financial difficulties throughout its brief history, owing in part to the small size of the Ottumwa television market and competition from larger stations in nearby Des Moines. After ceasing broadcasting, the station's license was returned to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The channel 25 allocation in Ottumwa remained vacant for many years.
