John Ennis (baseball)

John Ennis (born August 22, 1979) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Atlanta Braves, Detroit Tigers, and Kansas City Royals.

Ennis attended Spring-Ford High School in Royersford, Pennsylvania, and was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 45th round of the 1997 MLB Draft. He began his professional career in the Braves' minor league system, working his way through the ranks.

He made his major league debut with the Atlanta Braves on June 26, 2005. He primarily pitched as a relief pitcher. In 2007, Ennis was traded to the Detroit Tigers. He was later claimed off waivers by the Kansas City Royals in 2008.

Ennis's career was marked by periods of both success and inconsistency. He struggled to maintain a consistent role in the majors, often being shuttled between the major league roster and the minor leagues. After his time with the Royals, he continued to play in the minor leagues for various organizations before retiring.
