John Davis (cricketer, born 1943)

John Davis (born 16 March 1943) is a former English first-class cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler who played for Northamptonshire between 1963 and 1972.

Davis made his first-class debut for Northamptonshire in 1963 against Oxford University. Over his career, he played 110 first-class matches, scoring 3,659 runs at an average of 22.04, with a highest score of 103 not out. He took 145 wickets at an average of 37.54, with a best bowling performance of 5 for 69. He also played 20 List A matches, scoring 209 runs and taking 16 wickets.

After retiring from professional cricket, Davis remained involved in the sport at the amateur level.
