Phil Carlton (footballer)
Phil Carlton (born 16 October 1950) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Richmond Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL).
Carlton, a ruckman and defender, played 154 games for Richmond between 1969 and 1978. He was a member of Richmond's premiership-winning teams in 1969, 1973, and 1974. He was known for his strong marking ability and consistent performance. Following his VFL career, Carlton captain-coached Victorian Football Association (VFA) club Sandringham to a premiership in 1985. He was later inducted into the Richmond Football Club Hall of Fame.
