John Bagley (basketball)

John Winston Bagley III (born May 23, 1960) is an American former professional basketball player. A 6'0" (1.83 m) point guard, he played 14 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA) from 1982 to 1994 and 1996 to 1998.

Bagley played college basketball at Boston College, where he was a standout player known for his scoring ability and passing skills. He was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers as the 12th overall pick in the 1982 NBA draft.

During his NBA career, Bagley played for the Cavaliers (1982-1987), New Jersey Nets (1987-1989), Boston Celtics (1989-1993), Atlanta Hawks (1993-1994), and Orlando Magic (1996-1998). While never a superstar, he was a reliable and consistent player, often serving as a valuable backup point guard and contributing with his scoring, playmaking, and experience.

Bagley was known for his quickness, ball-handling skills, and ability to create opportunities for his teammates. He retired from professional basketball in 1998.
