João Carlos (footballer, born 1947)
João Carlos Batista Pinheiro (born January 13, 1947) is a former Brazilian football player. He primarily played as a central defender.
João Carlos began his career with Ferroviária, before moving to Ponte Preta, where he gained prominence. He then played for Fluminense, enjoying a successful period with the club. Later in his career, he also played for Botafogo.
He was a part of the Brazil national football team squad that participated in the 1978 FIFA World Cup.
