Jim Morrison (ice hockey)
Jim Morrison (born July 10, 1951) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player.
Morrison played primarily in the World Hockey Association (WHA) and the National Hockey League (NHL) during the 1970s. He was drafted by the Atlanta Flames in the 1971 NHL Amateur Draft and by the New York Raiders in the 1972 WHA General Player Draft.
He played for the Vancouver Blazers, Michigan Stags, Baltimore Blades, Phoenix Roadrunners, and Indianapolis Racers in the WHA. In the NHL, he played for the Los Angeles Kings and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Morrison was known as a rugged defenseman. His career ended prematurely due to injuries.
