Patricia Ferreira (director)
Patricia Ferreira (born 1958 in Madrid) is a Spanish film and television director.
Ferreira initially pursued studies in law before transitioning to filmmaking. She is a graduate of the Escuela Oficial de Cine (Official Film School) in Madrid.
Her directorial debut came with the short film El amanecer de Jonathan Rose (1991). She achieved greater recognition with her first feature film, Sé quién eres (2000), a psychological thriller starring Ana Fernández and Miguel Ángel Solá. The film was nominated for several Goya Awards.
Other notable films directed by Ferreira include El alquimista impaciente (2002), an adaptation of the novel by Lorenzo Silva, and Para que nadie olvide tu nombre (2005), a drama exploring themes of memory and identity. In 2011, she directed Los niños salvajes, a film about neglected teenagers in a major city.
Ferreira's work often explores complex emotional and psychological themes, frequently focusing on the challenges faced by individuals in contemporary society. She has also directed for television, including episodes of Spanish TV series.
