Jim Corbett (politician)
Jim Corbett is a former Australian politician. He served as a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly, representing the electoral district of Callide from 1988 to 2009. He was a member of the National Party, which later merged into the Liberal National Party of Queensland.
During his time in parliament, Corbett held various positions, including serving as a Shadow Minister in opposition. His policy interests included rural and regional development, agriculture, and infrastructure. He was known for his advocacy on behalf of his constituents in the Callide electorate, a predominantly rural area.
Corbett retired from state politics at the 2009 Queensland state election. Since leaving parliament, he has remained involved in community and agricultural organizations.
