James Shaw (mayor)

James Shaw is a New Zealand politician who served as the Mayor of Palmerston North from 2007 to 2022. Prior to becoming mayor, Shaw served on the Palmerston North City Council for a number of years. As mayor, he focused on issues such as economic development, environmental sustainability, and community engagement. He oversaw various city initiatives, including infrastructure projects and community programs. Shaw did not seek re-election in 2022.
