Hank Plante

Hank Plante is an American broadcast journalist and political reporter. He is best known for his long career in the San Francisco Bay Area, primarily at television stations KPIX (CBS) and KRON (NBC). Plante is openly gay and was a prominent advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, often reporting on issues affecting the community. He won multiple Emmy Awards for his reporting and commentary. Plante retired from full-time broadcasting in 2016 but continues to contribute to various media outlets.
