James Johnson (wrestler, born 1954)

James Johnson (born July 7, 1954) is an American former professional wrestler. He is best known for his appearances in various National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) territories during the 1970s and 1980s, most notably in Jim Crockett Promotions as "Jimmy Valiant."

Valiant began his wrestling career in the early 1970s. He developed a flamboyant and energetic persona, becoming known for his "Boogie Woogie Man" gimmick, which involved dancing and audience interaction.

Throughout his career, Valiant held numerous regional championships, including the NWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship, the NWA Television Championship, and the NWA Southeastern Heavyweight Championship. He often teamed with other notable wrestlers such as Sweet Brown Sugar (Koko B. Ware) and Ragin' Bull Manny Fernandez.
