The Grinder (TV series)

The Grinder is an American legal comedy television series created by Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul, starring Rob Lowe and Fred Savage. It aired on Fox from September 29, 2015, to May 10, 2016.

The series follows Dean Sanderson (Rob Lowe), an actor best known for playing a lawyer in a popular television drama titled "The Grinder." After the show is cancelled, Dean returns to his hometown in Boise, Idaho, and joins his family's real-life law firm, believing his television experience makes him qualified to practice law. He often clashes with his skeptical brother, Stewart Sanderson (Fred Savage), a dedicated and practical lawyer who runs the firm.

Other main characters include Debbie Sanderson (Mary Elizabeth Ellis), Stewart's wife, and Sanderson & Yao partners Claire Lacoste (Natalie Morales) and Irwin Alonzo (Hana Hayes). The show explores themes of celebrity culture, family dynamics, and the blurred lines between reality and fiction.

Despite receiving positive reviews for its writing and performances, particularly Lowe's, "The Grinder" suffered from low viewership and was cancelled after one season.
