JBJ (band)

JBJ (Korean: JBJ; Japanese: JBJ), short for "Just Be Joyful," was a South Korean project boy group formed by CJ E&M. The group consisted of six members: Noh Tae-hyun, Takada Kenta, Kim Sang-gyun, Kim Yong-guk, Kwon Hyun-bin, and Kim Dong-han. Originally conceived by fans online after the conclusion of the second season of the reality competition show Produce 101, JBJ was initially a fantasy lineup of trainees who viewers wished to see debut together.

Following the online movement, CJ E&M recognized the demand and worked with the members' respective agencies to make the fan-imagined group a reality. They debuted on October 18, 2017, with the extended play Fantasy. JBJ was promoted as a temporary group with a seven-month contract, concluding activities on April 30, 2018.

Throughout their short career, JBJ released two extended plays, Fantasy and True Colors, and one repackaged album, New Moon. They garnered significant popularity both domestically and internationally, holding concerts and fan meetings in various countries. Their music explored a range of genres, including pop, hip-hop, and R&B. After disbandment, the members returned to their original agencies to pursue solo careers or join other groups. Despite their brief existence, JBJ is remembered by fans for their origin story and their dedication to fulfilling the wishes of their supporters.
