eSilicon
eSilicon was a fabless semiconductor company headquartered in San Jose, California. It specialized in application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) design and manufacturing services. eSilicon offered services encompassing front-end design, physical implementation, and manufacturing support for complex SoCs (Systems on a Chip). The company targeted markets such as data center, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing.
A key aspect of eSilicon's business model was its focus on providing customized solutions for customers with specific requirements that could not be met by off-the-shelf components. They provided a range of services including RTL-to-GDSII design, advanced packaging, and test engineering.
eSilicon was acquired by Inphi Corporation in January 2020. Following Inphi's subsequent acquisition by Marvell Technology Group in April 2021, eSilicon’s operations and technologies became part of Marvell. The eSilicon brand is no longer actively used in the market.
