Heuliez
Heuliez was a French coachbuilding company, design studio, and manufacturer of vehicles. Founded in 1920 by Adolphe Heuliez, the company initially focused on producing horse-drawn vehicles and later transitioned to crafting automobile bodies and components.
Throughout its history, Heuliez collaborated with numerous major automobile manufacturers, including Peugeot, Citroën, Renault, Opel, and Mercedes-Benz. They were known for producing prototypes, limited-edition models, convertibles, and estate versions of existing cars. Heuliez often took on projects that required specialized expertise in design, engineering, and low-volume manufacturing.
Beyond automobile production, Heuliez also developed and manufactured other transportation products, such as buses and specialized vehicles. The company faced financial difficulties and ultimately ceased operations in 2013. Despite its closure, Heuliez remains a significant name in the history of French automotive design and engineering, recognized for its innovative designs and contributions to the industry.
