Igan (federal constituency)

Igan is a federal constituency in Malaysia that has been represented in the Dewan Rakyat, the lower house of Parliament, since 2008. It is located in the state of Sarawak.

The constituency was created in the 2008 redistribution and is mandated to return a single member to the Dewan Rakyat using the first-past-the-post voting system.

Historically, Igan has been a stronghold of the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), a component party of the ruling Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) coalition. Prior to the formation of GPS, PBB was part of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition.
