Ian Brown (footballer, born 1965)

Ian Brown (born 24 January 1965) is a former professional footballer. A defender, Brown played primarily in the Scottish Football League during the 1980s and 1990s.

Brown began his career with Dundee United, although he did not make any first-team appearances for the club. He moved to Meadowbank Thistle in 1985, becoming a regular in the side before joining Forfar Athletic in 1987.

After a spell with Forfar, Brown signed for Arbroath. He went on to make over 200 league appearances for the club, becoming a key player in their defence. He spent a significant portion of his career at Arbroath before moving on.

Following his time at Arbroath, Brown played for Montrose. Details about his career following his time with Montrose are less readily available.
