Hot Rod (album)

Hot Rod is the debut album by American country music artist Brad Paisley. It was released on June 22, 1999, by Arista Nashville. The album produced four singles: "Who Needs Pictures," "He Didn't Have to Be," "Me Neither," and "We Danced." All four singles reached the top 20 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, with "He Didn't Have to Be" reaching number one.

The album was certified Platinum by the RIAA for sales of over one million copies. The songs on the album largely focus on themes of love, loss, and small-town life. "Who Needs Pictures" and "He Didn't Have to Be" received significant airplay and helped to establish Paisley as a major artist in the country music genre.
