Hiram Tuttle (equestrian)

Hiram Tuttle (born March 22, 1882, in Dexter, Maine, died November 11, 1968, in Fort Riley, Kansas) was an American equestrian who competed in the 1932 Summer Olympics.

Tuttle was a career officer in the United States Army, graduating from West Point in 1905. His military career spanned various assignments and involved significant contributions to cavalry and horsemanship within the armed forces.

At the 1932 Summer Olympics, held in Los Angeles, California, Tuttle won two bronze medals. He achieved these medals in the individual dressage event and as part of the United States team in the team dressage event, riding his horse, Olympic. The team comprised Isaac Kitts and Alvin Moore in addition to Tuttle. His achievements marked a notable moment for American equestrian sports in the early 20th century. After retiring from competition, he remained active in equestrian circles, often judging competitions and mentoring younger riders.
