Harish Rawat
Harish Rawat (born 27 April 1948) is an Indian politician belonging to the Indian National Congress. He served as the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, he was a Member of Parliament, representing Haridwar constituency in the Lok Sabha. He has also served as a Union Minister in the central government, holding portfolios such as Water Resources and Agriculture. Rawat has been a prominent figure in Uttarakhand politics for several decades, holding various positions within the Congress party and the state government. His political career has been marked by periods of both success and controversy, including a brief period of President's Rule in Uttarakhand during his tenure as Chief Minister. He has also been involved in state-level and national elections on multiple occasions.
