High & Dry (1987 TV series)
High & Dry is a British sitcom that aired on ITV in 1987. Created by and starring Bernard Hill, the series focused on the misadventures of Harry Cook, a recently divorced Liverpudlian sign writer, who struggles to adjust to single life and a stagnant career.
The series ran for one season of six episodes. The supporting cast included Elizabeth Estensen as Harry's estranged wife, Maureen, and Peter Howitt as his mate, Malcolm. The humor revolved around the mundane realities of life after divorce, with themes of loneliness, financial difficulties, and the awkwardness of re-entering the dating scene.
