Temptations (album)
"Temptations" is the self-titled debut studio album by the American vocal group The Temptations, released in 1964 on the Gordy Records label (Gordy GS907). The album features several of the group's early singles, including "Dream Come True," "Check Yourself," and "I Want a Love I Can See." It showcases the group's early sound, which blended doo-wop and R&B influences with the emerging Motown sound. The album also includes covers of popular songs from the era. While not as commercially successful as their later albums, "Temptations" helped establish the group and laid the groundwork for their future success. The album's track listing is a mix of upbeat dance numbers and soulful ballads, highlighting the versatility of the group's vocal arrangements.
