Henry Slade (rugby union)
Henry Slade (born 19 March 1993) is an English professional rugby union player who currently plays for Exeter Chiefs and the England national team. He primarily plays as a centre but can also operate as a fly-half or full-back.
Slade began his rugby career playing for Plymouth College before joining the Exeter Chiefs academy. He made his debut for Exeter in 2011 and quickly established himself as a key member of the squad. He is known for his exceptional passing skills, intelligent game reading, and accurate goal-kicking.
He has been a part of the Exeter Chiefs squad that has won the English Premiership title twice (2017 and 2020) and the European Rugby Champions Cup (2020).
Slade made his debut for the England national team in 2015. He has represented England in numerous international competitions, including the Six Nations Championship and the Rugby World Cup. He played a significant role in England's Six Nations victories in 2016, 2017, and 2020. He was also part of the England squad that reached the final of the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
Slade is recognized as one of the leading centres in English rugby and has consistently performed at a high level for both club and country.
