Hackney Central (London County Council constituency)

Hackney Central was a London County Council (LCC) electoral division returning one councillor. It was created in 1889 and abolished in 1965.

The constituency was coterminous with the Hackney Central ward of the Metropolitan Borough of Hackney. It was located in the central area of the borough, encompassing the area around Hackney Central railway station and Mare Street.

The area was primarily residential and commercial. Throughout its existence, Hackney Central experienced significant social and demographic changes, impacting its political landscape.
