HMAS Bass

HMAS Bass has been the name of two ships in the Royal Australian Navy (RAN):

• HMAS Bass (F 77): A Bathurst-class corvette launched in 1944 and decommissioned in 1946. She served primarily as a convoy escort during World War II.

• HMAS Bass (AGS 61): A hydrographic survey ship launched in 2002. She is designed to conduct surveys of the Australian coastline and surrounding waters, gathering data on water depth, seabed composition, and navigational hazards. This data is used for charting and other maritime purposes.
