HD 88133 is a G-type main-sequence star located approximately 257 light-years away in the constellation Leo. It is slightly larger and more massive than the Sun, with a higher metallicity.

HD 88133 is of particular interest to astronomers due to the confirmed presence of a planet, designated HD 88133 b. This extrasolar planet is a hot Jupiter, meaning it is a gas giant with a mass comparable to Jupiter but orbiting much closer to its star. This close proximity results in a very short orbital period and high equilibrium temperature.
