Tom Dean (swimmer)
Tom Dean (born 21 May 2000) is a British competitive swimmer specializing in freestyle events. He has represented Great Britain at the Olympic Games, World Championships, European Championships, and Commonwealth Games, achieving significant success at each level.
Dean is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, winning both the 200m freestyle and the 4x200m freestyle relay at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. His individual gold in the 200m freestyle was particularly notable as he overcame two bouts of COVID-19 in the lead-up to the Games.
He is also a multiple-time medalist at the World Championships and European Championships, both individually and as part of relay teams. At the Commonwealth Games, he has represented England and earned medals in various freestyle events.
