Antsahé

Antsahé is a town located in the Atsimo-Andrefana region of Madagascar. It is situated inland, west of the RN7 national road, which is a major transportation artery in the country. Antsahé is part of the Betioky Atsimo district. The economy of Antsahé is primarily based on agriculture, with a focus on crops suited to the semi-arid climate of southwestern Madagascar. The population is predominantly of the Mahafaly ethnic group. Access to education and healthcare services can be limited in Antsahé due to its relatively remote location and infrastructural challenges common in rural Madagascar. Water scarcity is a significant environmental concern in the area.
