Gunplay (rapper)

Gunplay, born Richard Morales Jr. on July 9, 1979, is an American rapper from Carol City, Miami Gardens, Florida. He is best known as a member of the hip-hop group Triple C's (formerly Carol City Cartel) alongside Rick Ross and Torch.

Gunplay's solo career began to gain traction in the late 2000s and early 2010s, with appearances on several Maybach Music Group (MMG) releases. He officially signed to MMG in 2012. He is recognized for his aggressive delivery, gritty lyrics often detailing street life and drug use, and distinctive ad-libs such as "Don Logan."

His debut studio album, Living Legend, was released in 2015 through Maybach Music Group and Def Jam Recordings. He has also released several mixtapes, including Snorting Trees and Acquitted, which further established his signature sound and solidified his fanbase. After parting ways with MMG, Gunplay continues to release music independently.
