Gu Junjie (footballer)

Gu Junjie (born January 11, 1985) is a Chinese former professional footballer. He primarily played as a defender.

Career

Gu Junjie began his football career with Shanghai Pudong Zobon in 2004. He quickly established himself within the team's defensive setup. In 2006, he transferred to Shanghai United, followed by a move to Shanghai Shenhua later that same year after Shanghai United merged with them.

He played for Shanghai Shenhua for several seasons, contributing to their league campaigns. Known for his work rate and tackling ability, he was a consistent presence in the squad.

In 2014, Gu Junjie moved to Shanghai Shenxin (later renamed Shanghai Shenxin) where he continued his professional career. He remained with the club until his retirement.

Playing Style

Gu Junjie was generally deployed as a center-back or occasionally as a full-back. He was known for his robust tackling, aerial ability, and commitment to defensive duties.
