Glass Slippers (horse)

Glass Slippers was an American-bred, Irish-trained Thoroughbred racehorse best known for her success as a sprinter. Born in 2006, she was sired by Holy Roman Emperor out of the mare Barinya.

Glass Slippers began her racing career in Ireland but achieved international recognition later in her career after being transferred to the training of Kevin Ryan in England. She specialized in shorter distances, typically excelling in races of five to six furlongs.

Her notable victories include the Group 1 Prix de l'Abbaye de Longchamp in 2019, where she defeated a strong field. She followed this success with a win in the Group 1 Flying Five Stakes at the Curragh in 2020. Glass Slippers continued to perform at a high level, competing in major sprint races across Europe and beyond.

Known for her late-running style and acceleration, Glass Slippers was a popular and exciting racehorse. She was retired from racing at the end of 2020.
