Giovanni Lorenzo (boxer)

Giovanni Lorenzo (born December 15, 1977) is a Dominican former professional boxer who competed from 2002 to 2014. He held the WBA interim middleweight title in 2006.

Professional Career:

Lorenzo quickly gained attention with a series of victories early in his career. In 2006, he faced Raúl Márquez for the WBA interim middleweight title and won by unanimous decision. He lost the title in his next fight to Sebastian Sylvester. Throughout his career, he faced notable opponents such as Kelly Pavlik, Danny Jacobs, and Peter Quillin. While he challenged for world titles on multiple occasions, he was unsuccessful in capturing a major championship.

Retirement:

Lorenzo retired from professional boxing in 2014.
