Gerry Hart (American football)
Gerry Hart (born October 21, 1940, died July 15, 2023) was an American football defensive tackle who played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Philadelphia Eagles and the St. Louis Cardinals. He played college football at Southern Methodist University (SMU).
Hart was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 10th round (136th overall) of the 1963 NFL Draft. He played for the Eagles from 1963 to 1968 and for the St. Louis Cardinals in 1969. During his career, he was known as a tough and reliable defensive lineman.
