Tony Delk
Tony Delk (born January 28, 1974) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the University of Kentucky Wildcats, where he was a key member of their 1996 NCAA Championship team. As a junior, he led the Wildcats in scoring that season with 17.8 points per game.
Delk was selected by the Charlotte Hornets with the 16th overall pick in the 1996 NBA draft. He played for the Hornets, Golden State Warriors, Sacramento Kings, Phoenix Suns, Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, Atlanta Hawks, and Detroit Pistons over the course of his NBA career, which spanned from 1996 to 2006. Primarily a shooting guard, he was known for his scoring ability and athleticism. His highest scoring average in a season came with the Phoenix Suns in 2000-2001, when he averaged 12.3 points per game.
After his playing career ended, Delk transitioned into coaching. He has served as an assistant coach at Kentucky and New Mexico State. He has also been involved in basketball camps and clinics.
