Geranium (restaurant)
Geranium is a three-Michelin-starred restaurant located in Copenhagen, Denmark. Opened in 2007, it is owned and operated by chef Rasmus Kofoed and Søren Ledet. The restaurant is known for its Nordic cuisine with a focus on seasonal, local ingredients and innovative techniques. It is situated on the 8th floor of Parken Stadium, providing panoramic views of the Fælledparken park.
Geranium's menu is primarily a tasting menu offering a multi-course dining experience showcasing Kofoed's culinary philosophy. The restaurant emphasizes sustainability and seeks to create dishes that are both visually appealing and flavorful. It has consistently been ranked among the world's best restaurants, receiving numerous accolades and recognition from culinary critics and organizations.
In January 2022, Geranium announced that it would close in December 2022 and reopen in 2023 as "Alouette," a restaurant no longer serving meat. This reflects Kofoed's evolving culinary vision.
