Hartmut Hoffmann (footballer)
Hartmut Hoffmann (born 1942) is a former German footballer who played as a midfielder. He spent his entire professional career with FC Schalke 04, appearing in 192 Bundesliga matches and scoring 24 goals between 1963 and 1972. He also played in several DFB-Pokal matches for Schalke 04. While Hoffmann did not earn any international caps for West Germany, he was a consistent and reliable player for his club during a period of transition and rebuilding for Schalke. He was known for his tackling ability and work rate in midfield. Following his playing career, Hoffmann remained involved in amateur football in the Gelsenkirchen area.
