USS Dutton (AGS-8)

The USS Dutton (AGS-8) was a hydrographic survey ship of the United States Navy. Commissioned in 1944, she served primarily mapping coastal waters and conducting oceanographic research. Dutton operated extensively in the Pacific Ocean, participating in surveying operations vital to navigation and scientific understanding of the region. She provided valuable data for charts, navigational aids, and antisubmarine warfare during her service.
