Nat Simon

Nat Simon (1900 – 1979) was an American composer, pianist, and bandleader best known for his popular songs of the 1930s, 40s and 50s. He wrote both music and lyrics for some of his compositions, while also collaborating with lyricists on others.

Simon's compositions include popular standards such as "Poppin' Corn", "Little Brown Jug Polka" (often misattributed to Joseph Winner), and "Twelfth Street Rag". He also wrote extensively for stage and film. His works have been performed and recorded by numerous artists across various genres, contributing significantly to the American popular music landscape.

While he may not be a household name in the same way as some of his contemporaries, Nat Simon's contributions to popular music are considerable and his songs continue to be enjoyed today.
