Norm Cook

Norm Cook (born Norman Cook, December 28, 1955) is a former American professional basketball player. A 6'8" forward, Cook played college basketball at the University of Kansas, where he was a standout player known for his scoring ability. He was selected by the Boston Celtics with the 16th overall pick in the 1976 NBA draft.

Cook played for the Celtics during the 1976-77 season, averaging 3.2 points per game. He was then traded to the Denver Nuggets, where he played for the remainder of his professional career. With Denver, Cook saw increased playing time and contributed more significantly, averaging 7.3 points per game over three seasons. He retired from the NBA after the 1979-80 season.

After his basketball career, Cook remained active in the Lawrence, Kansas community, and was involved in various business ventures. He is remembered as a local basketball hero and for his contributions to both the University of Kansas basketball program and the NBA.
