Brotherly Love (1999 TV series)
Brotherly Love was an American television sitcom that aired on NBC from 1995 to 1997 and then moved to The WB for its final season in 1997. The series starred the Lawrence brothers: Joey Lawrence, Matthew Lawrence, and Andrew Lawrence.
The show revolved around the Romanos, three brothers adjusting to life after the death of their father, a mechanic who owned a garage. Joe (Joey Lawrence), the oldest brother, inherits the garage and takes on the responsibility of managing it. Matt (Matthew Lawrence) is the middle brother, often portrayed as more laid-back and mischievous. Andy (Andrew Lawrence) is the youngest brother and acts as the voice of reason for the family.
The series followed the brothers as they navigated their individual lives, worked together at the garage, and dealt with the challenges of growing up and forming a family unit after their father's passing. Supporting characters included their neighbor, Lou, and other recurring characters who frequented the garage. The humor often stemmed from the brothers' contrasting personalities and their attempts to resolve everyday problems. The show aimed to be a family-friendly comedy with heartwarming themes of brotherhood and the importance of supporting one another. It was produced by Witt/Thomas Productions, Touchstone Television (later ABC Studios), and Lawrence Brothers Productions.
The series ran for a total of 40 episodes across three seasons. While it garnered a dedicated fanbase, it was ultimately canceled due to declining ratings.
